However you spell it, we’re going to have a good time. In the second installment of our seasonal Hybrid Performance Events this year, we align with the new moon and Lughnasadh, about halfway between summer solstice and autumnal equinox. It’s the traditional beginning of the harvest and gets its name from the Celtic god Lugh. We are creating a magic circle among the trees to be filled with the music of Odetta and Camellia Hartman and Evan Tyor of Ladybug Land (Cochecton Center), the sweet mountain dulcimer of Kali Seastrand, and a visitation from the Færie Queen of the Forest Glade, Kazzrie Jaxen.
Experience this singular conjunction of elemental forces Saturday, August 3 at 7:30 pm! The evening will conclude around a bonfire where sharing of harvest songs or moon chanteys or forgotten fables is welcome and encouraged. Bear one in mind or let the spirit move you! Food and Drink will be available! Get tickets now!
This event will proceed rain or shine. If the gods give us rain we will move to the theatre and be thankful that the crops be watered!
Our seasonal Hybrid Performance Events (HyPE) are made possible in part with funding from a Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grant, funded by the Sullivan County Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
