IN THE LAB
God Is In Your Typewriter is a new work in development by BREAD member artist and NACL Director of Artist Experience, Lyndsey Anderson.
BREAD returns to NACL to present the first workshop of God Is In Your Typewriter, a dramatized glimpse into the lives of the Confessional poets and novelists of 1960's America: a world of words, sex, booze, and thousands of cigarettes. Following the path of Anne Sexton in particular, the piece examines the outlier poet's rise to fame, battle with mental illness, and life-long obsession with death.
